Welcome to Williamsport Elementary School, a proud hub of learning, community, and innovation in Washington County, Maryland.

We are honored to be a Maryland E-Gate Certified School and a designated Model Green School, demonstrating our commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainability in education. Our campus is also home to a unique treasure — the oldest tree in the state of Maryland, a living symbol of strength and resilience that reflects our school’s deep roots and lasting impact.

As a defined community school, Williamsport Elementary is more than a place of learning — we are a center of support for our students, families, and neighbors. We are known as a kind and caring school where compassion and connection matter. We work to meet the needs of every student and offer help to families in times of need, building strong relationships that extend beyond the classroom.

Our Magnet/STEM program offers enriched opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, inspiring our students to think critically, solve problems, and explore innovation. We set high expectations for all learners and are deeply focused on student achievement and success, believing that every child can thrive when challenged and supported.
