Chorus/Drama

 

My name is Mrs. Sullivan and I am teaching music this year at Williamsport.   I am very excited to be in my 20th year of teaching with my 8th year beginning here at Williamsport!  The chorus will be open to any interested 4th or 5th graders.  Rehearsals will be every Tuesday after school from 3:10 to 4:00pm starting on Tuesday, September, 16, 2025. Students who are interested or signed up for band/orchestra may also join chorus.  Band/orchestra rehearses during the school day, so it will not interfere with the chorus after school.

Performances:  The Winter concert will take place Wednesday, December, 3rd and the Spring concert will be Thursday, April, 30th.  These concerts will run from 6:30-7:15pm.

WCPS CHORAL ASSESSMENT:  Students will participate in the Washington County Middle School Chorus Festival in the Spring of 2026.  On February 25th, we will practice our Festival music at a community concert with Springfield Middle School and Williamsport High School.  The event will be on February 25th.  The concert will begin around 6pm and go until 7:30.  More info on this performance will be coming out soon.  For the WCPS Choral Assessment:  The date for this event will be on the second full week in March, 2025.  Date and time is TBA.  I will need 4 chaperones to ride the bus.  More information will be coming soon.  

NEW:  For this school year, Chorus will be a part of our extended learning program which will assist students that need transportation.  A meal will be provided after rehearsal ends at 4 pm.  Students will transition to a homework club that will be run by a 4th and 5th grade classroom teacher.  Students do not need to stay for the extended learning portion, however, they often have fun and enjoy the additional time with friends and teachers. 

Students with the YMCA will be released to chorus and then report to the cafeteria after rehearsal concludes.  Student pick ups will be at the gym doors and parents must come sign out their students.  Bus transportation will be provided via HUB stops and are identified on the extended learning registration forms.  

Girls on the Run will also run on Tuesdays at the same time as Chorus and homework club.  As we have limited spots for both programs, we are kindly requesting that girls only sign up for either Chorus or Girls on the Run.  There will be an additional opportunity for Chorus and Girls on the Run in the Spring.
